Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SocialVibe LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), covering the Receipts: Group Chat Stats app ("Receipts", "the app") and this website. By downloading or using Receipts you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you got Receipts from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict on the licence to use the app, Apple's agreement governs.

2. Who can use Receipts

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to use Receipts. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.

3. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Receipts on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as allowed by these Terms and the App Store's usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law gives you that right regardless of these Terms.

4. Your chats and other people

Receipts analyses chat export files on your device. You keep all rights to your chats; we never receive them. Because chats include other people's names and messages, you agree to:

• import only chats that you are a member of and that you are entitled to export;
• respect the privacy of the other people in the chat, and think before sharing cards that show their names or stats outside the chat;
• follow the terms of the messaging service you exported the chat from, and the law.

You are responsible for what you choose to share from Receipts and with whom.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Receipts or its share cards to harass, bully, shame, threaten or discriminate against anyone; to process chats you obtained without permission; to monitor someone without their knowledge; or to break any law. Don't try to interfere with the app, its purchase system or this website.

6. Stats and awards

Every number in Receipts is calculated from the export file you provide. Exports can be incomplete, can depend on your messaging app's settings and language, and may not mark every type of message. Where Receipts can't work a stat out, it leaves it out. We don't promise that every figure is complete or error-free.

Awards such as "Ghost of the Group" are light-hearted labels based on message counts and timings. They are not statements of fact about anyone's character, and they shouldn't be used to make decisions about people.

7. Purchases

• Free and paid features. Some slides and cards are free. The All Chats Pass is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the rest of the story and every share card, for every chat, on the Apple ID that bought it.
• Payment. Purchases are made and charged through Apple. Prices are shown in the App Store and in the app before you buy, and may include taxes where required.
• Refunds. Apple handles refunds under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your rights under consumer protection law are not affected.
• Restoring. If you change or reset your iPhone, tap Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple ID.
• Changes. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we stop offering the app, features you have already paid for will keep working on the versions you have installed, as far as Apple's platform allows.

8. Our intellectual property

Receipts, its name, logo, designs, software and content belong to SocialVibe LLC or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don't give you any rights to them beyond the licence in section 3. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Third parties

Receipts is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any other messaging service. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. Any names of other products are used only to describe compatibility, and belong to their owners. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Receipts and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every export format. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SocialVibe LLC and its members, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill or relationships, arising from your use of Receipts or anything you share from it. Our total liability for any claim relating to Receipts is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify SocialVibe LLC against claims by others arising from your breach of these Terms, including claims arising from cards or content you shared.

13. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email support@getreceipts.chat and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

Arbitration. If we can't resolve it, any dispute arising from these Terms or Receipts will be settled by binding individual arbitration in Sheridan, Wyoming, or by video conference, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction to protect intellectual property. You and we waive any right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class or representative action. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, or makes this section unenforceable, those rights are not affected.

14. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Receipts from the App Store, you and we acknowledge that:

• these Terms are between you and SocialVibe LLC only, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content;
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
• if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app;
• we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims;
• we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and handling any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property rights;
• you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. General

We may update these Terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or on this website. If you keep using Receipts after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and, where it applies, Apple's licence agreement are the whole agreement about Receipts.
